How we look after the personal information you share with us.

This notice explains what personal information Elated collects when you visit this website or book an appointment, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. Elated is the “data controller” for that information, which means we are responsible for deciding how it is used.

Our booking form is provided by Elfsight. When you request an appointment we collect your name, your contact details and the appointment you have asked for, together with anything else you choose to tell us in the form. We use this to confirm and manage your appointment, to contact you if something changes, and to keep a record of the treatments you have had so we can look after your nails properly at your next visit.
The lawful basis for this is that it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract once your appointment is confirmed. Keeping treatment records afterwards is our legitimate interest in providing a safe and consistent service.
The WhatsApp button on our booking page opens a conversation in WhatsApp. Anything you send us there is handled by WhatsApp under their own privacy policy (opens in a new tab), and we see it in the same way as any other message. We use it only to answer you.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short-term technical logs (including your IP address) to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages people visit, roughly where in the world they are, and whether they came from a search engine or Instagram. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects your IP address. We use it only to improve the site; we do not use it for advertising. You can opt out for every website you visit using Google’s browser add-on (opens in a new tab), or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Our gallery shows our latest Instagram posts through a widget provided by Elfsight. Loading it means your browser contacts Elfsight and Instagram, and those companies may set cookies or similar technologies of their own. If you would rather they did not, blocking third-party cookies in your browser will stop the gallery loading without affecting the rest of the site.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing. It is handled by the suppliers who run parts of this site on our behalf — Elfsight for the booking form and widgets, Cloudflare for hosting, and Google for site analytics — and by WhatsApp if you choose to message us there. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Some of these suppliers are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law.
We keep appointment and treatment records for as long as you remain a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we have a history to refer back to if you return. Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted once they have been dealt with.
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to limit how we use it, object to our using it, or ask for it in a portable format. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month.
